Danish Government Scholarships for the academic year 2018/19

In accordance with the Cultural Agreement Programme between Denmark and Egypt, the following scholarships are available for students from Egypt:

  • 35 months for master's and ph.d. students, divided into periods of 5-10 months for master's students and 3-12 months for ph.d. students. Bachelor's students wishing to study Danish language, culture or other fields of study related to Denmark can also apply provided that they have studied the Danish language for two years.

The amount of months cited above are allocated per academic year. Unused months can not be carried over to the next application round.

Scholarships are available for master's and ph.d. students in order to enable them to study or carry out research at a Danish university or a similar institution of higher education in Denmark.

In order to encourage the establishment and development of direct contacts and agreements between institutions in Denmark and Egypt, priority will be given to applicants who are affiliated with such projects.

Priority will also be given to applicants who want to study the language and culture of Denmark.

Applicants must apply through, and be nominated by, their own national authorities. Please contact the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, Scholarships Department,
