Grants from The European Research Council (ERC) are normally personal grants that are given to only one principal investigator, but from this year onwards the ERC is introducing a new grant named Synergy Grant. This grant is open for up to four researchers who can apply for this ERC grant together.

The Synergy Grant scheme ran under two pilot calls in 2012 and 2013. Projects from these calls have recently been evaluated and have demonstrated large scientific impacts and are being reintroduced as a result. EuroCenter in the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Educated will organise a short information meeting to provide more information on these ERC Synergy Grants.

At the meeting Professor Jens Hesselbjerg Christensen, University of Copenhagen, who holds an ERC Synergy Grant named  ICE2ICE will share his experiences on the grant scheme. Call Coordinator Agnes Kulcsar from the ERC Agency will present insights on the ERC Synergy Grants and the call. Agnes Kulcsar took part in evaluating the ERC Synergy projects and has also been part of writing the current call text.
