About Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities

Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities supports specific research activities based on the initiatives of the researchers and gives scientific advice within the scientific areas of the Council.

The Council covers basic research within all branches of culture, aesthetics, languages, history, and theory of cognition.

Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities allocates research grants to researchers working within these areas. Furthermore, the Council provides scientific advice in relation to humanistic issues. The advice is given according to request or on the Council's own initiative.

Independent Research Fund Denmark annually publishes a call inviting researchers to apply for funding for research activities within the scientific areas of the Council. The call includes information about requirements and guidelines for applications to Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities.

The Council’s 12 members are acknowledged researchers appointed by the Minister for Science and Higher Education in their own personal capacity.
