Changes in the Autumn 2016 – Spring 2017 Call

The following changes have been implemented since the previous Call:

  • The funding instrument DFF – Individual Postdoctoral Grant has been discontinued. If you aim to apply for a postdoctoral grant, you may apply for the new funding instrument DFF-International Postdoctoral Grant or as part of a larger research project such as the Sapere Aude: DFF-Starting Grant or the DFF-Research Project 2.
  • Within the Sapere Aude Programme, the DFF – Starting Grant is available. The DFF – Advanced Grant and the DFF – Research Talent cannot be applied for anymore.

The funding instrument DFF-MOBILEX has been discontinued.

The Danish Council for Independent Research hosts an information meeting twice a year with focus on the general application requirements described in the Call.


Sapere Aude Initiative

Sapere Aude is DFF's initiative aimed at developing the most talented researchers abilities, nationally and internationally. 

Who has received funding?

The scheduled time of processing for each Council can be found in the Call for proposals. About two weeks after the scheduled time of processing, DFF publishes the names of grant recipients

 is comprised of a Board of Directors and the following five scientific research councils: DFF | Humanities, DFF | Natural Sciences, DFF | Social Sciences, DFF | Medical Sciences and DFF | Technology and Production Sciences.
