Seeking admission to an unemployment fund
Some unemployment funds require a foreign education assessment before admitting new members. We recommend that you ask the unemployment fund if they require such an assessment in order to admit you.
Admission is always subject to the admission criteria of the individual unemployment fund. However, the unemployment fund must consider your educational qualifications on the basis of an assessment by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science if such an assessment has been made.
This means that if the Agency has assessed your qualifications to be comparable to a particular Danish level of education, your application for admission cannot be rejected on the grounds that you have not completed a qualification at the level in question.
The assessment normally takes 1-2 months from the time we receive the application and the required documentation.
The assessment is free of charge, but it does not include translation of documents.
