The supplements are primarily intended for use by people having completed a vocational education and training programme who would like to work in another country and by foreign employers who hire people who have completed a vocational education and training programme in Denmark.
The supplement is a kind of declaration of the programme's contents. The descriptions can also be used in other contexts where a good understanding of Danish vocational education and training programmes is needed, for example in connection with international development activities and cooperation between institutions of education in Europe.
