The aim of EUopSTART is to intensify the participation of Danish enterprises and research institutions in European research and innovation. This year’s final cut off was 8 Oct. 2018. We have received 212 applications and expect to reply to all applicants within the first two weeks of Nov. 2018.

Proposal Deadlines for 2019

Provided that the annual national budget 2019 allocates funds to EUopSTART, the first cut off is planned for February 2019.

Who qualifies for grants?

Danish enterprises and research institutions can apply for funding to cover up to 50 % of the costs connected to the preparation of an application for one of the programmes under Horizon 2020. In the text below, you can find more about the subsidy scheme and its possibilities, conditions as well as deadlines.

Which expenses does the funding cover?

You can apply for funding to cover expenses that are defrayed during the grant period. The expenses must be relevant, necessary and directly connected to the preparation of the application. 

The expenses must belong to one of the following categories:

  • Payroll costs
  • Travels
  • External assistance

Grant size

The Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education awards grants that cover up to 50 % of the project costs. The applicants must finance 50 % of the project costs themselves. Funding which cover external assistance may not amount to more than 70 % of the total grant, which is awarded by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education.

How to apply?

You apply for the EUopSTART grant scheme by sending your application to the agency via the electronic application system, E-grant.

You must write the application in Danish or English.
