The Danish Council for Independent Research Announces Call to Support Cutting-edge Research
With this Call, the Danish Council for Independent Research (DFF) aims to continue its contribution to the development of new knowledge of high, international quality by supporting independent research based on the researcher’s own ideas, within and across all the main fields of sciences.
The Call comprises the funding instruments Sapere Aude: DFF-Starting Grant, DFF-Research Project 1 & 2, DFF-International Postdoctoral Grant and Research Education outside the Universities (PhD). In addition, there are a number of smaller funding instruments.

Changes in the Autumn 2016 – Spring 2017 Call
The following changes have been implemented since the previous Call:
The new funding instrument DFF-International Postdoctoral Grant is offered with an application deadline in Spring 2017.
- The funding instrument Sapere Aude: DFF-Starting Grant has an application deadline in Spring 2017
- The funding instruments Sapere Aude: DFF-Research Talent and Sapere Aude: DFF-Advanced Grant have been discontinued
- The funding instruments DFF-Individual Postdoctoral Grant and DFF-MOBILEX Mobility Grant have been discontinued
