You can obtain a public transportation pass known as "Ungdomskort" if you meet the conditions, if you are 16-19 years old, a student on a youth education programme or a student on a higher education programme approved for SU.
The Ungdomskort provides a daily public transport discount from your residence to the educational institution. The Ungdomskort is subject to various conditions depending on whether you are 16-19 years old, a student on a youth education programme or a student in higher education.
16-19 years old
All 16-19-year-olds may order an Ungdomskort without having to obtain prior approval. 16-19-year-olds may go directly to ordering the transportation pass in the transport companies' self-service system "Mit Ungdomskort" (my youth card). If you are a student on a youth education programme that is approved for an Ungdomskort, it is cheaper to buy an Ungdomskort for youth education programmes.
Students on a youth education programme
You may obtain an Ungdomskort for a youth education programme if:
- the youth education programme entitles you to SU or is in the list of approved education programmes
- you do not receive a transport subsidy under other schemes
- the education is designed as full-time education
- you are not in a paid internship or under an employability enhancement scheme at a production school
Students in higher education
You may obtain an Ungdomskort for a higher education programme if:
- you follow a higher education programme approved for SU
- you do not receive a transport subsidy under other schemes
- the education or the education programme is designed as full-time education
Price
The price of an Ungdomskort depends on whether you are 16-19 years old, a student on a youth education programme or a student in higher education. You need to pay a basic amount per day (own payment).
How to apply
You apply for the Ungdomskort via www.ungdomskort.dk.
