The European-Commission launches the first Horizon 2020 calls for proposals

December 11, 2013
The first calls for projects proposals under the largest European Union research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020, have been launched. The programme will fund not just the best fundamental research, but also applied research and innovation in small and large companies.

The programme will run from 2014-2020, and the total budget for the period is expected to reach approximately EUR 80 billion. This represents an almost 30 per cent increase in real terms compared to the previous programme.

One website for applicants

The calls for project proposals are published on the European Commissions website:

The Participant Portal has been designed as the principal gateway and single entry point for participants within Horizon 2020, the previous programmes (FP7 and CIP), and additional funding opportunities executed by several Member States.

Moreover, the Portal is designed to help newcomers, but also the more experienced, with several functions that can guide you to find the most suitable programme. You can find call  that fits your area and profile by using keywords and filters at:

EuroCenter, as the Danish National Contact Point for all the areas, is happy to help you in preparing a successful proposal.
