The national COVID-19 restrictions are further prolonged

The extended COVID-19 restrictions are prolonged in the whole country. The restrictions are extended up to and including 28 February 2021.

Higher education institutions throughout the country are still covered by the following directives:

  • A change to digital education without physical attendance at higher education institutions.
  • There may be a few exceptions in very special cases where attendance is necessary, including, for example, laboratory, clinical and workshop teaching.
  • Examinations are exempted if a change to digital exams is not practically possible.
  • If there is physical attendance, increased attention must be paid to not coming to the institution if you have symptoms, hand hygiene, general cleaning, keeping one's distance and face masks.
  • Public employers are encouraged to send home all staff not carrying out critical functions. Those sent home should, as far as possible, work from home.
  • Libraries must remain closed to the public except for the returning and borrowing of materials for research and teaching purposes.
  • The social distance recommendation in higher education are 2 metres.
  • Recommendation to cancel events the purpose of which is primarily social;
  • Entry restrictions tightened including:
    • it will still be possible to enter the country for International students residing in Denmark
    • International students who do not reside in Denmark may enter Denmark if they can show that they have a worthy purpose (for example, that they have a job in Denmark). Do note that special rules concerning worthy purposes apply to travelers from the UK and South Africa.
    • Being a student is not in itself considered a worthy purpose for entry.
    • The requirement of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more 24 hours before entry.
