Morten Østergaard is appointed Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education

Morten Østergaard (Social Liberal Party) is the new minister for research, innovation and higher education. He takes over the Science Ministry from the incumbent minister Charlotte Sahl-Madsen (Conservative Party).

Morten Østergaard Kristensen, 35, will head the research and higher education policies for the new Social Democratic Party-Social Liberal Party- Socialist People’s Party government.

Morten Østergaard is a graduate of Political Science from Aarhus University and has been a member of parliament for the Social Liberals since 2005.

A handover reception will take place at Bredgade 43, meeting room A at 3pm.

Members of the press are welcome to attend the reception and are asked to present a valid press card on arrival.
