New deputy director general for Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education
From November 01, Stine Jørgensen will take up the role as deputy director general in the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education. She comes to the agency from as a position as Associate Dean of Education at the University of Copenhagen.
Stine Jørgensen has a Master's in Law from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD in social law.
Director General Hans Müller is looking forward to working with Stine:
- Stine has strong leadership experience from a top role at the University of Copenhagen and experience as an active researcher in an international environment. Her knowledge of higher education programmes also includes executive board experience from a university college, etc. She will help strengthen the agency's strategic efforts in national and international fields with her experience and her considerable analytical sharpness. Together with deputy director general Niels Christian Beier I look forward to our work together.
Stine will have overall responsibility for activities in the agency concerning international cooperation in the research and education area.
She is looking forward to joining the agency's leadership:
- Danish education and research must be world class, and it is therefore important that we see strong international collaboration. We must think strategically and make the most of the many opportunities to be found in the international area. Whether it is cross-border research collaboration, successfully securing international research funding or Danish students dreaming of study abroad for a semester. I look forward to helping guide Denmark's international work in the research and education area.
The position as deputy direction general is a newly created one. From November 01, the management of the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education will comprise a director general and two deputy director generals.
