International Evaluation of Risø National Laboratory

The evaluation was performed using three general headings:

• Quality of Research
• Relevance of Research
• Priority Setting and Management

The first two deal with the dual targets for Risø to excel in science at an international level and provide Danish society with new opportunities for technological development. Under the last heading the structure and effectiveness of Risø is evaluated, and plans for the future are discussed.

The evaluation report was presented to the Ministry of Research and Information Technology in February 1997 and now forms the basis for negotiations between the ministry and Risø on a new management performance contract.
