Women in Science: The Gender Dimension as a Leverage for reforming Science

About the publication

On 17 February 1999, the Commission adopted the Communication "Women and science: mobilising women to enrich European research". In that Communication, the Commission acknowledges the severe under-representation of women in science and sets out an action plan to promote gender equality in science.

The aim of this working document is to report on results achieved since the adoption of the Commission's Communication in 1999, as requested in the Council Resolution.
