In 2004 The Danish Committees on Scientific Dishonesty (DCSD) delivered rulings in eleven cases. A further three cases were dismissed in 2004.

In one case DCSD found that the defendant researcher had acted in a scientifically dishonest fashion. In another case DCSD expressed mild criticism, but the matter could not be classed as scientific dishonesty.

International developments within DCSD's sphere of operations is outlined in this report, and the public and private research culture and its significance for the occurrence of dishonesty is described.

Under Danish Executive No. 668 of 28 June 2005 the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation has laid down new rules for DCSD.
