The annual commercialisation survey illustrates the efforts and performance of public research institutions in technology transfer.

At a national scale, the new data for 2011 reveal general progress. In relation to 2010, it is notable that the number of patent applications and new license, sales and options agreements has risen significantly.

Meanwhile, behind the national level of performance, there were major differences in the development at an institutional level.

Data for 2011 have been collected via a questionnaire that complies with the standards in the field.
