About the publication

The annual commercialisation survey has illustrated the efforts and performance of public research institutions in technology transfer since 2000.

At a national scale, the new data for 2012 reveal general progress. In relation to previous years it is notable that the number of inventions and patent applications shows the highest level to date.

Meanwhile, behind the national level of performance, there were major differences in the development at an institutional level.

Data for 2012 have been collected via a questionnaire that complies with the standards in the field.
