The Danish Council for Strategic Research is partner in the ERA-NET Synthetic Biology (ERA-SynBio) from which Danish Scientists can seek funding for projects within synthetic biology. The Council has allocated ½ million euro for the Danish participation.
Denmark participates in the ERA-NET Synthetic Biology (ERA-SynBio) whose aim is to promote cooperation and coordination of European national research programs within the discipline of synthetic biology.
ERA-SynBio now opens for applications to the call entitled: “ERASynBio 1st joint call for transnational research projects: Building Synthetic Biology capacity through innovative transnational projects”.
The joint call will support broad research areas within Synthetic Biology. For more information please see the call text documents (see link below).
At least three ERA-SynBio partner countries have to be included in a consortium. The Council has allocated ½ million euro for the call. The intention is to support more than one project. The projects are expected to proceed for a period of maximum three years.

Deadline for proposals is the 26th of August 2013.The projects are expected to start early 2014.
