DCSR has allocated €0.5M for Danish participation in the call.
Denmark is an active participant and the coordinator in COFASP. The purpose of COFASP is to increase cooperation in the areas of fishery, aquaculture and seafood processing in order to support a sustainable future for the marine resources.
The COFASP call is open for applicants and transnational partnering is encouraged and facilitated through the COFASP website (link below) where there is a partnering hub.
The purpose of the call is to strengthen research within the following 4 topics:
- The ecosystem approach to fisheries management
- Spatial planning in fisheries and aquaculture
- Improved aquaculture
- Production chain

In order to be eligible for applying, at least three participants from three countries have to part of the consortium. The total Danish participation is €0.5M and the aim is to fund more than one project. The projects are expected to last a maximum of three years.
