Webinar: Introduction to the European Research Council (ERC) in Horizon Europe

The European Research Council (ERC) is EU's programme for excellent science. This webinar will focus on the structure and purpose of the programme in order to make you ready to apply for an ERC grant. The webinar takes place 16 March 2021, 10:00-11.15 CET and is held in English.

Focus

We will cover what is new in the European Reseach Council (ERC)-programme in Horizon Europe. In addition to this, the purpose of ERC and how it differs from other programmes in Horizon Europe will be explained.

Focus will also be on getting Danish advisors and researchers off to a good start by providing an overview of the purpose of ERC, its structure, panels, grant-types, application format, evaluation process etc.

Furthermore, we will also introduce the ERC application process and how to prepare for an ERC grant.

The webinar will be held by the Danish national contact points (NCPs) for the ERC and Professor Jesper Svejstrup, University of Copenhagen, who has received two ERC Advanced grants and moreover is a member of ERC's Scientific Council.

There will be time for questions in the chat.

Target group

Danish researchers who are considering applying for an ERC grant and Danish research advisers, who work with the ERC programme.

Language

The webinar will be held in English.
