Fine Arts educations

Fine Arts educations regulated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

By the Royal Resolution of the 3rd October 2011 the educations of architecture, design, and conservation and the educations at The Royal School of Library and Information Science transferred from the Ministry of Culture to the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

All of the education programmes are higher educations and most of them are bachelor, master or PhD level degrees in the areas of architecture, design, conservation, and library- and information science. Furthermore, there is offered a four-year education in arts and crafts – glass and ceramics.

The aim of the educations

The aim of the educations is to educate students to the highest level and furthermore to develop the artistic area and on a scientific basis do research in the field of architecture, design, conservation and library- and information science. On many of the education programmes the students have to show their artistic talent through an admission test before getting accepted.
