Webinar: Introduction to ERC Synergy Grant

The European Research Council (ERC) is the EU's programme for groundbreaking research. This webinar prepares researchers and advisors for the ERC application process. It is especially relevant if you are applying for the Synergy Grant. The webinar takes place 13 September 2022 at 09:00-11:00 AM.

Content

We will focus on the application and evaluation process of the ERC Synergy Grant, which is aimed at a group of 2 – 4 researchers, who can combine their knowledge and resources, in order to create a synergy, which exceeds what they would be able to achieve individually in an ERC-project.

In the ERC Synergy Grant there is no requirement of how long you should have held your PhD degree and the ERC encourages researchers on different career stages to apply.

At this webinar, you will gain knowledge on how to write a successful ERC application along with useful insights from an ERC evaluator. It will also be possible to ask our speakers questions and benefit from their experience.

The speakers will include:

  • ERC Synergy Grant grantee, Professor Jens Hesselbjerg Christensen, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen
  • ERC Synergy Grant grantee and evaluator, Professor Jørgen Arendt Jensen, Technical University of Denmark
  • Co-Call Coordinator, Giuliano Scalzi, ERC's Executive Agency.

The webinar will be hosted by the Danish National Contact Points for ERC.
