Period at home extended for students and employees

March 23, 2020
The Government has decided to extended the initiatives already in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. The initiatives will be extended up to and including 13 April 2020.

The extension also has an impact on the approx. 250,000 students and employees in higher education, who were sent home on 13 March 2020.

The period at home was initially for two weeks and is now extended up to and including 13 April 2020.

Since the closures, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science has established multiple dialogue fora across the sector, where significant challenges associated with the current situation have been discussed in close dialogue with the educational institutions. For example, challenges around exams, internships, SU and students who are close to completing their education.

These dialogues will continue as the closure period is extended.

Students may have many concerns and doubts during the current situation. And it is important that they have clarity about their own situation. If any students have concerns about their education, they should contact their educational institution.

Employees at higher education institutions can contact their own institution or submit additional questions to the Ministry mailbox: info-covid-19@ufm.dk.
