During 2012, many analyses, studies, dialogue meetings, etc. were carried out as part of the developing the strategy.
This included input from private individuals and about 40 branch and interest organisations on what the innovation strategy should contain – input that the Government has greatly embraced.
As part of the preparatory work, an international evaluation of the Danish innovation system was also carried out. The evaluation was undertaken by the ERAC - European Research Area Committee – under the European Commission.
The overall vision is that Denmark must be a nation of solutions where innovative solutions to great societal challenges are translated to growth and employment.
