Strategy for Research and Education concerning the Arctic

Denmark must strengthen its Arctic research, education and innovation. It is vital that we do so because of the dramatic changes that are currently taking place in the Arctic and because of the clear consequences of climate change. Research-based solutions and enhanced Arctic educational competences can help address the challenges that we face, as well as help us tap into new opportunities as they emerge.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Science is thus launching a new strategy for the Ministry’s work with regard to the Arctic. The objective is to strengthen Denmark’s, and by extension the Danish Realm’s, research and education in and about the Arctic.
