(1C) The report Forskningsformidling i danske tidsskrifter (The dissemination of research in Danish journals)

During the spring of 2012, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education commissioned an analysis of the publication models of Danish-language scientific journals.

The analysis describes the market for scientific Danish-language publication channels, including their publication methods, types of revenue and their potential for switching to Open Access publication.

The analysis was carried out by Gunnar Sivertsen from the Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU) in Norway, and was published in the summer of 2012, after which interested parties were given the opportunity to respond to the analysis.

The purpose of the consultation process was to allow for relevant players to comment on the main findings of the report. All the submitted responses will be used by the Ministry in its continued effort to implement Open Access and streamline the dissemination of scientific research.

At the consultation deadline on 5 September 2012, three statements had been submitted.
