In 2013, university colleges and business academies were given a new mandate to conduct practice-oriented and applied research and development activities (R&D), along with new budget appropriations for R&D. In light of this, the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy (DFiR) has conducted an anniversary project that examines the work of translating R&D into practice and provides several recommendations to strengthen the framework conditions for this new task. This brief is part of that project.
