Isaaffik Arctic Gateway

Isaaffik is the Greenlandic word for ‘gateway’. It is a platform designed to support Arctic research and collaboration between researchers within the Kingdom of Denmark.

Isaaffik Arctic Gateway is created to inspire and promote collaboration, synergy and creativity among universities and knowledge centers who focus on Arctic research, education, consultancy, infrastructure, and logistics. Anyone who deals with these aspects in the Arctic, can sign up as a user of Isaaffik.

On Isaaffik users can advertise the following:

  • expeditions
  • events
  • activities
  • courses and education programmes
  • participate in informal discussions

In this way, Isaaffik facilitates networking cross-disciplinarily.

Behind Isaaffik is a large number of research-related institutions in the Kingdom of Denmark. The Isaaffik partners include: Aarhus University, Aalborg University, Asiaq Greenland Survey, Danish Meteorological Institute, the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, the Greenlandic Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Church, Joint Arctic Command, National Museum of Denmark, Technical University of Denmark, University of Copenhagen, University of Greenland and University of Southern Denmark.
