The Danish Council for Research Policy advises the Government and the Danish Parliament on research at the general level.
It is the recommendation of the council that decision-makers follow these signposts:
- The high international quality and level of Danish research is to be maintained and developed, and framework conditions should be designed with this in mind.
- The primary focus should be on the functionality and impact of the instruments used rather than on the organisation of bodies and systems.
- The research and the results achieved are to create value in society.
