The workshop will give insight into ESA’s Science Core Technology Programme (CTP) – a programme that funds technology developments and studies at low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) to ensure early and effective preparation of ESA's future science missions.
Furthermore, the workshop will highlight how to use ESA's Discovery, Preparation and Technology Development (DPTD) programme that funds preparatory studies and technology development to prepare for the ESA’s short- to medium-term future activities under any ESA programme.
Through the OSIP platform, the Discovery element invites bottom up ideas for studies from universities or industry, while ESA’s launches call for tenders at higher TRL under the Preparation and Technology elements.
You will be able to interact with each other and ask specific questions to ESA experts.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, and facilitated through Denmark's membership of ESA.
Programme:
13:00-13:20: Discovery & Preparation (DPTD), M. Fontaine
13:20-13:40: ESA’s Technology Development Element (DPTD), O. Perat, E Kircher
13:40-14:00: ESA Science Future Missions and their Preparation (CTP), M. Bavdaz, S Wittig
14:00-14:20: Plenary discussions
