The CHEOPS mission is dedicated to the search for transits of exoplanets on bright stars already known to host planets, and implemented by ESA in partnership with a nationally funded consortium led by Switzerland.
CHEOPS was launched on 18 December 2019 and an extension to the mission operations to to 31 December 2029 has been confirmed.
Through the Announcement of Opportunity, the ESA Director of Science invites scientists based in ESA Member States, and not already involved in the mission, to apply for membership of the CHEOPS Science Team. The duties and rights applicable to members of the CHEOPS Science Team are indicated in the Announcement of Opportunity for Membership of the CHEOPS Science Team document.
