As ESA and the EU are getting ready for the next phase of the IRIS2 project, information and industry days for future IRIS2 subcontractors are on the horizon in the new year.
It is expected that The European Space Agency, ESA, and the European Commission soon will sign a contract with the SpaceRISE consortium, who in that case will be responsible for the development and implementation of Europe’s to date biggest investment in secure and resilient connectivity, the IRIS2 (Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite) multi-orbit satellite constellation.
With the aim to offer enhanced communication capacities to governmental users and businesses, as well as ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones, the IRIS2 constellation is Europe’s answer to pressing challenges ahead.

At a later stage contact persons for each theme will be published.
If you are interested in the IRIS2 project, please reach out to us. The Space Division (the Danish space office) will compile a list of Danish companies potentially interested in subcontracting development tasks. This will be forwarded to ESA and SpaceRISE before the industry days.
Please note that this does not mean that you need support from the Danish delegation to partake in the industry days nor as a subcontractor in the IRIS2 project. Reaching out and being added to the list is therefore completely voluntary.
Once we have more information about the industry days, we will announce it through the Brug Rummet newsletter. Prior to the days ESA will also announce reference persons for the difference areas, who you as companies can contact for more information, and to become more clear on, whether any of the project work is relevant to you at all.
