De kommende opslag bliver netop nu lagt fast i Horizon Europe arbejdsprogrammet for 2023-2024. I lighed med arbejdsprogrammet for 2021-2022 hører rummet hjemme i Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space. Det specifikke arbejdsprogram (destination) for rummet i Cluster 4 har fået titlen:
OPEN STRATEGIC AUTONOMY IN DEVELOPING, DEPLOYING AND USING GLOBAL SPACE-BASED INFRASTRUCTURES, SERVICES, APPLICATIONS AND DATA
Det forventes, at rummet i Horizon Europe også fremover kommer til at omfatte:
• Foster competitiveness of space systems
• Reinforce EU capacity to access to space
• Evolution of Space and ground infrastructures for Galileo/EGNOS
• Evolution of services: Copernicus
• Development of applications for Galileo, EGNOS and Copernicus
• Innovative space capabilities: SSA, GOVSATCOM, Quantum
• Space entrepreneurship ecosystems (incl. New Space and start-ups) and skills
• Targeted and strategic actions supporting the EU space sector
Det forventes, at den endelige version af arbejdsprogrammet for 2023-2024 offentliggøres efter sommerferien.
