Nordic higher education institutions have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ grant to establish cooperation between higher education institutions from different regions outside of Europe. The Centre for International Mobility (CIMO) from Finland, The Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) , the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannis) and the Danish Agency for Higher Education (UDS) will together organize information days about the opportunities for cooperation within the framework of Erasmus+ International Dimension. The two days will furthermore include information about mobility activities with non-European countries as well as on Knowledge Alliances and Strategic Partnerships.

The event will take place on November 19 - 20 2015, at Hotel Crowne Plaza, in Copenhagen.

The programme will be updated on regular basis

The information days are primarily targeted towards staff members at the Nordic higher education institutions who are interested in cooperation with Partner countries outside of Europe. The event will provide a forum for sharing experience and good practice, it will examine strategic use of the Erasmus+ opportunities offered, as well as offer time to discuss directly with several experts from target regions.

The added value for participants at the Nordic Information Days:

  • strengthening links between the Nordic institutions with similar interests,
  • learning about characteristics of specific neighboring regions
  • networking with National Erasmus+ Offices (NEO) representatives from Jordan, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Russia,
  • meeting programme responsible experts from the EU-Commission and be informed on the latest news including the participation of the Asian Pacific Countries (ACP) in the 2016 Call.

In addition to the general information about Erasmus+ International Dimension, the information days will focus on:

  • Capacity Building for Higher Education
  • Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees & Nordic Master Programme
  • Strategic possibilities within International Credit Mobility
  • Knowledge Alliances and Strategic Partnerships.
