The Government, with the support of all parties in the Danish Parliament, has allocated DKK 150 million for the rapid launch of COVID-19-related research and innovation projects that can help mitigate the corona crisis.
The funds are being channelled using fast track pathways under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science (DKK 88 million), Innovation Fund Denmark (DKK 40 million) and the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DKK 22 million).

Private foundations
A number of Danish foundations with a research funding strategy have allocated millions of DKK to COVID-19-related research.
Clinical trials and data regulatory approvals
Authorities under the Danish Ministry of Health responsible for data protection, and the approval of data use, are urgently considering the sharing of data from research into COVID-19 and the approval of research projects concerning COVID-19.
