The “Space Partnership” was established to increase the involvement of the private sector in the programming of Horizon Europe as of 2025. The 100 Meuro of EU-funding will be allocated from the Horizon Europe programme to topics proposed by the Space Partnership in domains of satellite communication, Earth observation or space transportation. On top private partners are expected to co-invest 120 Meuro mainly through in-kind contributions.
The partnership association SPACE aisbl was established in 2024. Its founding members are Eurospace, SME4Space, ESRE, EASTRO and EASN, who represent a large part of the space supply chain.
Censec is the Danish member of SME4Space and Terma A/S the only Danish member of Eurospace.
The MoU and the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) behind the creation of the partnership as well as information for entities interested to join the space partnership, will be made available through a dedicated website of the Space Partnership which will be created by the partnership as soon as possible.
The Space Partnership is one of several Co-programmed partnerships under Horizon Europe.
