Rules for processing personal data

The agency’s processing of personal data is done in accordance with the rules set forth in the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data etc.) and the Data Protection Act (Act no. 502 of 23. May 2018).

Data controller

The Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education is responsible for the processing of personal data, which the agency carries out in connection with the types of situations mentioned in these pages.

Data Protection Officer

The agency has a Data Protection Officer who is tasked with advising the agency on the rules for processing personal data, etc.

Questions regarding the agency's processing of personal data

If you have any questions regarding the agency’s processing of your personal data as a part of a specific case, you can contact the relevant caseworker or the agency’s Data Protection Officer. Contact information for the relevant caseworker will generally appear on your case files. It is possible to contact the agency’s Data Protection Officer as listed above.

Complaint

You have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Agency if you are unhappy with the way the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education processes your personal data.

The agency’s decisions in cases concerning the rights of the registered can be brought before the Department of the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science as a part of legal recourse.
